Sam Grosby

A tenor based in Chicago, He has performed with ensembles including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Music of the Baroque, Wolf Trap Opera, The Crossing, New York Festival of Song, Opera for the Young, Chicago Opera Theater, and Stare at the Sun. As a Luminarts Fellow and grant recipient, he commissions song cycles from composers he admires. He curates and presents performances of pop and new music alongside standard classical repertoire in an effort to challenge preconceptions surrounding high art. Mr. Grosby is also a contributor for the Athenaeum Review, writing reviews and essays on music, and is an irregular conferee with the Liberty Fund.
